Variability of anthropologic characteristics in the male groups of Eskimo and Chukchi were evaluated in the study with the regard of the place of living and the pressure of extreme environmental conditions. The analysis of morphological status of the studied groups was performed. The intragroup polymorphism was described and the degree of morphological differences in Eskimo and Chukchi was evaluated. Besides pure morphological characteristics, the adaptive traits describing the energy balance of the organism were included in the analysis. Also age differences in morphology were estimated in the representatives of the Arctic adaptive type.
