Abstract

Author presents the historical essay of development of palaeopathology in Russia. Especially there is discussed the first papers in palaeopathology of founding fathers of Russian physical anthropology – Karl von Baer and D.N. Anuchin. The founder of Russian Palaeopathological School – D.G. Rokhlin, made an important contribution to the new science.
