Abstract

This article is about the results of re-examination of the remains of prince Andrey Bogolyubsky. The first study was conducted by D.G. Rokhlin, then by V.V. Ginzburg and M.M. Gerasimov, who made facial reconstruction of the prince. During the second study the odontology and osteology programs were added to the craniology. Besides, the descriptions of anatomical epigenetic changes of the skeleton and teeth were made. Modern studies stated the loss related to improper storage of the remains. The identity of biological age with previous determination was also stated as well as injuries that confirm the way of prince death, described by D.G. Rokhlin. However, recent studies didn’t find the traces of the mongoloid admixture in the structure of the skull and teeth, diagnosed earlier by V.V. Ginzburg and M.M. Gerasimov.
